ROCK band Courteeners have backed Andy Burnham in his Labour leader bid.
Andy Burnham tweeted the lyrics from one of the bands songs 'Take Over the World' and expressed his 'love' for the song.
The band have said to have thrown their support behind Andy Burnham and have even invited him down to their June 5 gig.
Almost 1,400 people retweeted and favourited the post, and while not everyone was impressed with his choice of lyric, one Tweeter commented that Burnham was “winning the leadership contest in cool points”.
