A DAUGHTER has said it was 'like a dream come true' for her dad after he appeared on Dickinsons Real Deal.

Teresa Fletcher from West Leigh sadly lost her mum Dianna Fletcher, aged 57, last year.

Soon after her death her dad John Fletcher was tragically diagnosed with cancer and died just seven weeks later aged 60.

However before his death, to give something back to his children, John decided to sell his wife's gold rings and took them along to a Leigh Dickinson's Real Deal special.

The show, which was filmed last year, was recorded in Leigh Sports Village and daughter Teresa said it was a dream come true for her dad.

Teresa, aged 36, said: "Mum loved gold and loved her jewellery.

"After she died my dad decided that the rings that she had not specifically left to anyone he would sell them.

"He knew he was dying himself so he wanted to leave us with something.

"Dickinsons Real Deal was his favourite TV programme so it was a brilliant experience for him.

"I wasn't able to go along on the day but my sister and my niece did and they said it was brilliant.

"He managed to sell the rings for £1000 which we have used towards their headstone.

"Being on the show gave him more than money can buy.

"ITV have said they are going to dedicate a quarter of the episode to him also.

"It is a nice memory for us to have."
