I was really pleased with the professionalism. The players stuck to the task.

It’s really easy when it’s 46-0 at half time for you to drift off the game plan and to lose your shape. Quite often that leads to everyone being frustrated. To their credit, the players stuck to their shape really well and we got the rewards of a big win.

It was good to score tries but we aren’t fooling ourselves either, we realise we’ve got a tough game in the league at Sheffield next week.

We got a win in a good way and we’ve come through the game with no injuries.

Sam Reay scored three tries and he showed good footwork as well.

He was good value for the tries he scored and Martyn Ridyard impressed too.

Danny Meekin played really, really well. I told him before the game that he has earned his start. I’m not about giving anybody a start and I think his performances leading up to today got him into the starting line-up. He produced a good performance with the ball, he got a few offloads away and got a try too.

We’d worked on everyone being a threat and running unselfish lines to create space. It is good to have that within our ranks but it’s about doing it during the week-in-week-out football now.

This win was good for our confidence. It would have been nice to nil them but you’ve got to put everything into perspective, but having said that, it’s been two weeks running that we’ve conceded a try, from a kick in a similar part of the field. That’s something that wants looking at but I think defensively we looked really sound and they only ever threatened our line when we didn’t control the ball in clearing our line with sets.
