In the first half, this so-called arm wrestle that you hear coaches talk about, we actually won it twice.

We broke them after about 20 minutes and due to a couple of poor outcomes at the end of our sets, we gave them a leg-up into the game.

Fortunately, we won the arm wrestle again during the second period of the first half and as everyone saw, that’s when we racked up a few points.

I just think we went offload crazy and gave them a good platform. They started collecting balls around the halfway line, scrums around the halfway line when we threw it into touch, instead of where they’d been picking it up before – deep in their own 20 metre area.

All credit to Barrow, they capitalised on it and that’s where the two games in four days plays a part.

If you ask yourself to defend too much, as a result of that and trying to offload too many times, this is what happens.

I’ve nothing against positive offloads but not all of them were positive and if you ask yourself to defend that, well we didn’t have enough petrol in the tank to defend and all the poor defence or poor adjustments, they followed.

Barrow got a great win for themselves but it’s three points that we should have had.
