FIVE players have been charged with punching in the Kingstone Press Championships match, Halifax v Leigh Centurions, played at The Shay on Sunday.
The following players were charged after the incidents were considered by the RFL Match Review Panel:
Tony Tonks (Halifax) – Grade B punching in the 35th minute
Paul Mennell (Halifax) – Grade A punching in the 28th minute
Sean Penkywicz (Leigh) – Grade A punching in the 28th minutE
Sam Barlow (Leigh) – Grade A punching in the 28th minute
Jake Emmitt (Leigh) - two charges of Grade A punching in the 28th and 35th minutes.
Tonks, Mennell, Penkywicz and Barlow have until 11.00am on Wednesday April 23 to submit Early Guilty Pleas.
Emmitt does not have the option of submitting EGPs and will appear before an RFL Disciplinary Tribunal on Wednesday, April 23.
