ASTLEY racer Tom Whitwam maintained his 100 per cent record in the regional rounds of the British Youth and Junior League with his third straight victory in the latest race at Stockport on Saturday.

The 10-year-old, who races for Sheffield Stars, won all four heats to qualify for the A final then blasted out of the gates to claim victory in the last race of the day.

He has already qualified for the national rounds, later in the summer, with one round of the regionals still to go.

The St Ambrose Primary School pupil also continued his form in the under-13s division of the Northern Grand Prix series on Sunday, putting in another strong display in the second round at Hull to maintain his overall lead in the competition.
