ATHERTON Collieries shuffled their pack to hit Daisy Hill for six at the New Sirs.

Matt Cross opened his account for Colls on 20 minutes after converting a corner from former Daisy player Matty Boland.

James Kirkby then followed suit to score his first goal for the club, heading home a testing ball in to the box from Boland.

And he quickly followed that up with a second, firing in a Mark Truffas cross.

Daisy pulled one back before the break, then it was all change for Colls as manager Micheal Clegg sent out a vastly changed side for the second half.

Jordan Cover chipped in with a fourth for Colls on 59 minutes before rounding off the scoring with a mazy dribble and finish, either side of a strike from a trialist winger.

The comprehensive victory built on promising performances against Bolton Wanderers and Coppull United.

Colls will continue their preparations for life in the North West Counties League Premier Division with a match at home to Salford City on Tuesday, kick off 7.45pm.
