ASTLEY motorcycle racer Mike Norbury is on the lookout for new sponsors to help take him to the next level after achieving another four victories in his latest meeting.

The 20-year-old won two Formula 600 races and two open races in the Preston and District Motorcycle Clubs event at the Three Sisters circuit near Bryn to maintain the lead in both championships.

That followed a fourth-place finish in Formula 600 in tricky conditions at Aintree in the Aintree Motorcycle Racing Clubs meeting.

A great result against tough competition including race winner Wigan rider Josh Daley, who is usually found racing in the British Superbike Championship in the Supersport races.

Mike said: "It was a mixed day at Aintree, with one race being abandoned, a crash in the morning and a retirement in the powerbike race, but I managed to sort out the problem for the final Formula 600 race.

"I had to start from 22nd position on the grid, and in tricky conditions managed to work my way through to finish fourth, which is my best result there on the 600.

"At Three Sisters I just kept calm and focussed on each lap and the results came."

Norbury achieved these results on an ageing Honda CBR600RR.

Ideally, he would like the chance to compete on a better bike, but with finances tight the team is struggling to fund his racing, even at his current level.

If any local firms would like to help, email the young racer direct on benly@live.co.uk or call 07724 629 248.
