ASTLEY and Tyldesley's Reece Pollitt turned in a great performance to finish sixth in the World Junior Individual final at Wednesfield on Sunday.
Reece suffered a disastrous start with a last place off the favoured inside start position in heat one.
But he bounced back to win his next race and earned three more second places to finish with a total of 14 points.
The final was won by Shane Bentley of Australia.
New A&T signing Dawid Bas scored 15 points, to finish in joint fourth.
A&T's Przemek Binkowski was in action in the senior semi-final at East Park, Wolverhampton on Saturday.
He missed out on qualification for the final by a solitary point after finishing with 12 points.
