FOOTBALL fans up and down the country got to see their heroes playing in their new replica kits as the new Premier League season kicked off recently.

However, it is not just Manchester United and Arsenal who are wearing different strips this season!

Atherton Town Storm Under-12s, who play in the Bolton & Bury District League, have followed the example of Southampton and Sunderland by unveiling a red and white shirt, complete with a brand new sponsor.

The team have been sponsored by Q Acoustics, leading provider of premium speakers and home cinema systems.

Steve Bell, who works for Q Acoustics’ parent company Armour Home, has coached the team along with Paul Grainey since the boys were just five years old.

He said: “We have a fantastic group of talented young players and they were very excited to try on their new kits. Last season, we won the Chairman’s Cup Final in front of a massive crowd at Bolton Wanderers’ stadium. The boys have been working hard ahead of the big kick-off and we are hoping for more silverware over the coming months.”
