TYLDESLEY moved up to seventh place in the North Lancs/Cumbria Division following their first away win of the season.

Bongs overcame Upper Eden 27-23 despite a strong display from the home side, especially in the opening 40 minutes.

The visitors were penned back in their half for long periods but only trailed 3-0 when Damien Twizell touched down for the first try of the game on 30 minutes, which was converted by Martin Wallbank.

And Tyldesley went into the break 12-3 in front after Zak Sargent scooped up the loose ball to touch down deep into stoppage time following great pressure by Kris Kirkpatrick to charge down Mark Dickinson kick.

Eden kicked off the second half with their second penalty of the game before Craig Pulman drove over for Bongs to register their third try in as many attacking plays.

And Lee Davies stole an Eden lineout ball to allowing Bongs to record a bonus point fourth try after Matt Crampton touched down in the 52nd minute.

A yellow card for Tyldesley's Carl Redford gave Eden the impetus to pull two tries back, one of which they converted.

But Kirkpatrick was rewarded for his endeavour with a first try for the first team before Eden recorded a third try at the death earn a deserved losing bonus point.
