Lance Todd Trophy winner Lachlan Lam has few equals in Super League.

That’s powerhouse prop Tom Amone’s belief after Lam junior’s stunning man of the match display, topped off by his golden point drop goal.

“I reckon the sky is the limit for him,” said front row ace Amone of his Papua New Guinean team mate.

“Maybe he didn’t get a run back at home. But he has come here and taken his opportunity.

“I reckon, if he is not the best, he is one of the top players in Super League.”

Amone again showed his own credentials as a leading enforcer in the competition. But he reckoned he needs to keep his temper under control.

“I get too passionate during games,” he confessed. “I just wear my heart on my sleeve.

“When we won, I just ran around stupidly. I didn’t know what to do.

“But this is a big moment for the club and the town. And if we keep playing like we are who knows what God has in store for us.

“It was tough,” he agreed of the Leopards’ famous win. “But we found a way.

“We talked about competing and giving ourselves the best chance to win the game. Everything we have got we have earned.”
