ON behalf of myself and Tyldesley Royal British Legion I would like to say thank you to all who made this year’s remembrance period such a great success.
Our numbers marching on Remembrance Sunday have gone from strength to strength as people show their appreciation, not only for those who suffered in past wars but also for our service personnel engaged in present conflict.
The Poppy Appeal is going well and our thanks go to all the owners of premises who have allowed our boxes to be displayed, our willing volunteer collectors and especially the public who have donated so freely.
The welfare of our forces will be greatly enhanced by the generosity of Astley and Tyldesley.
On behalf of the RBL, I thank you all.

Parade marshal and Poppy Appeal organiser
